Graduation Day, May 15, 2007

The year is finally over. I can't believe how fast that it went and that Andrew is now a first grader. They learned so much this year with Mrs. Deeringer and Miss Brown. They memorized so many verses, songs, numbers and letters and the exciting part is that they can now read. Andrew tries to sound out every word that he sees. The other day, as he was riding down the road, reading signs as usual, he blurted out "the boogyman" Of course, all the other kids started to giggle. The funny thing about the whole thing, is that he was reading a sign, but didn't get it right. The sign read, "The Bug Man."

The program:

The first part of the program was full of Bible verses, Bible doctrines that they had learned, telling time, counting money, reading, singing songs... This first picture is of four boys in the class dressed us as men from the past. Andrew was Franklin D. Roosevelt, He got tickled about the way they were dressed. and couldn't stop laughing. I am glad that I caught the moment with his nose scrunched up in his usual manner. In the play, The Three Piggy Opera, Andrew was the pig that built his house of bricks.

Pastor took a picture with the graduating class. He said that it was the first time that he had ever taken a pic with any of the graduating classes. Nice memories.
